Did you participate in that “Recession Hype” that blew up last year? It’s actually still going on at this time. I had the opportunity to witness many individuals making huge purchases on products that they really weren’t prepared to purchase in hopes that it would bring them out of financial crises they happened to be facing. It appeared the faith that so many of them claimed to have, disappeared for a moment. They were very vulnerable, and believed all the hype about “how this product will help you bring in more money than you’ve ever made in a whole year”! Also, “if this 16 year old kid could do it, so can I” or maybe you’ve even heard, “if this 80 year old grandmother could do it, what’s stopping me?”

I’m not going to knock the products because there are some really good ones out there. When it comes to the decision of purchasing someone else’s product, we need to stop for a minute and think about what am I “really” suppose to get out of this? Every product is not for you. You can’t believe everyone and everything that you see. Always do your research and evaluate your situation. If you are looking for the “easy” way out and are no longer focusing on following what you are really passionate about, do you honestly think you will really be able to consistently put in the required time and energy? We all know, nothing comes without hard work or lots of money and those are the only two choices. Either you spend the necessary time to develop your money making ideas that you pay someone a large sum of money to develop for you or at least let you utilize what someone else has worked hard on! As I’ve always mentioned the Internet is a powerful tool. By typing in the “keywords” in a search engine, you’ll be able to find so many resources to assist you and keep you on track when attempting to accomplish your goals. What your best friend feels is for them, might not be for you and it’s OK to tell them that. If they are truly a friend, they will understand and accept your wishes. Remember to stick with products or items that are in line with what YOU are passionate about and they are in line with the path that God has set for YOU. I’ve found that when you are passionate about doing something, you won’t mind spending the time and energy on it. Plus, the rewards that come out of your commitment will be tremendous!

Until next time.

Are You Building Your Business With Integrity?
By Dan T Himes

The words integrity and business don't always seem to go together. But they should! So I ask you.... Are you building your home based business with integrity?

usiness can be a pretty cut throat environment. After all when it comes to people's money things tend to get pretty nasty. People seem to have the opinion that if you want to be really successful in business you have to be a little sneaky or selfish. However, it is totally possible to grow your home based business with integrity. And once you start you'll realize that it will actually help your business! Yes it's true! Here are 4 ways that you can begin to build your business with more integrity and start making more money in the process!

1. Do what you say you're going to do

This might seem pretty simple but you would be shocked at the amount of people who bring someone into their business with promises of help and guidance and then totally ignore the person one they sign up! When you do this you hurt your new business partner and you also hurt yourself and your business. If you say you're going to do something... do it!

2. Don't sugar coat things

Building a home based business can be really hard. So don't lie and make it seem like it will be a walk in the park. People appreciate honesty. Plus, if you tell people the truth they can't blame you down the road when they realize it's not super easy.

Don't do people the disservice of telling them that they can build a business from home and not put any effort into it. Be honest about the hard work and effort it really takes.

3. Don't work with dishonest people

Who you choose to work with says a lot about you. Even if you're really honest it won't matter if you work with dishonest people. Don't allow dishonest people to hurt your reputation. Choose to work with people who have integrity and are honest and it will reflect on you.

4. Do things that don't benefit you at all

Sometimes being a great leader means doing things for the people on your team that don't benefit you at all. If that means spending 2 hours on the phone with someone who is upset do it! If that means helping someone who isn't even on your team do it! When people see that that's the kind of person you really are it will only help your business, never hurt it!

If you start building your business with more integrity you will be more respected and good things will come your way sooner. You don't have to be selfish and dishonest to get ahead in the business world. Give these things a try and you'll see for yourself!

Believe in Yourself and Your Dreams
By Sean M Kelly

This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not be false to any man. - William Shakespeare

I sat alone having my breakfast at my mother's, and turned on the television. There was a group of academics discussing a story by Tolstoy entitled, The Death of Ivan Ilych. I had never heard of it before. It tells the story of a man, Ivan, who, during his life succumbs to the 'hypnosis of social conditioning' and lives a life that everyone else expects him to live. As his life is coming to an end with terminal illness he begins to question how he has lived. He asks himself, 'What if in reality my whole life has been wrong?'. He wonders if he was ever true to himself. The only time he remembers being true was when he was a child. He dies with a feeling of deep regret.

Life is hard! Life is difficult! We create a life, which is often so full of 'stuff' that we spend the rest of our lives working to hold on to it, only to realise at the end of it... that 'the last suit we wear doesn't need any pockets'! All those years we struggled to hold on to everything could have been spent nourishing that which brings us joy.

So often we believe that to find our 'joy' we have to change that which is 'without' - move to a bigger house, buy a flashier car or build a bigger business. These things may be important, but by following our own truth we find a greater joy and create more fulfilment in our lives. Ironically, what we used to chase after comes to us easily and by then... well... it really doesn't matter.

When we follow our heart, we find our passion. What we do, we would do even if we didn't get paid. Getting paid is a bonus! Once we find our passion, our life is neither positive nor negative, it is a continuous revelation of whom we truly are. It is a journey of joyous manifestation. It is a journey of continuous heartfelt gratitude for the growing number of wonders in our life.

As Ivan Ilych lay dying, he was tormented with the question, 'What if in reality my whole life has been wrong?'. Unfortunately for Ivan it was too late. If you are reading this, you still have time; time to follow your heart, time to create a more fulfilling life for yourself and a better world for us all.

An Invitation to Follow your Heart

If you were to follow your heart what would you do? What has your heart always been whispering to you to follow? What talents do you possess? What are your gifts? What one step can you take this week that would be following your heart?

As William Wallace's father said to him in 'Braveheart':

'Your heart is now open, have the courage to follow it'.
